Atari ST
Andes Attack | Defender 2 | ||
---|---|---|---|
Update of the Vic20 Defender clone | Defender update created for Atari UK. | ||
Super Gridrunner | Hardcore | ||
Not a bad 16-bit update to Gridrunner. Not as good as GR++ though! | I really liked this game, intended as a rave-culture-inspired sequel to Llamatron but never finished due to starting work on the Jaguar. The 'puck' in this game returned many years later as the laser-firing sheepie head in GR++ | ||
Llamatron | Photon Storm | ||
Inspired by Robotron but with a lot more depth and acharacter all its own, this game helped to launch the concept of shareware in Europe. | Sort of Sinistar-ish but not really - player has to fly through space collecting pods and taking them to a stargate whilst beset by enemies. Trippy tunnel sequence between levels. | ||
RMC | RMC 2 | ||
Possibly one of the most menorable Llamasoft games. Giant camel (with anthropomorphic goat-creature sidekick in the ST/Ami/PC version) blasting through waves of somewhat surreal enemies. | My last ever Commodore 64 game. Lots of levels and weapons. Mastertronic did some Goat-awful conversions to the 16-bit machines that somehow managed to be worse than the c64 version. |
Atari Falcon
Llamazap | |
---|---|
Game comprising a variety of different styles and incorporating updates or mini-versions of other Llamasoft games (Llamatron, Metagalactic Llamas etc). Produced for Atari UK, much dicking around which meant that it got released about a year after it was finished, by some other publisher entirely, to the audience of three that comprised the Falcon-owning population. |
Commodore Amiga
Defender 2 | Super Gridrunner | ||

Laserzone | Llamatron | ||
Shooter in which the player controls two guns on orthogonal axes. | Quite possibly the jewel in the crown ;-). Widely known and well-liked by just about everyone. Obviously inspired by Robotron but so much extended and expanded that it's a new game in its own right. I think an updated version of this would be *very* well-received. | ||
Photon Storm | Revenge of the Mutant Camels | ||
Sort of Sinistar-ish but not really - player has to fly through space collecting pods and taking them to a stargate whilst beset by enemies. Trippy tunnel sequence between levels. | Possibly one of the most menorable Llamasoft games. Giant camel (with anthropomorphic goat-creature sidekick in the ST/Ami/PC version) blasting through waves of somewhat surreal enemies. Amiga version is the best... ;) |
